Chris Cantore from 91X FM fame was a local DJ that we used to listen to while we lived in San Diego. I follow his twitter along with some other San Diegans (refer to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy for proper pronunciation) to keep up with our home town in Southern California. Chris is a surfer and I found this video on his YouTube channel about the effort to save Trestles, a local surf spot to generations, from a toll road being built and destroying one of the last, pristine surf spots. The rally in the video was held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and it’s great to see the locals come out and do something to save our beaches. I miss our town, our coast, and most of all the people that stand up and speak up when something isn’t right. We will return one day and my little one will surf Trestles.

Last week Pepsi Co. stated that they will return to the previous design on their juice cartons and scrapping the new design that they launched a few months ago. I remember seeing this new packaging in Florida and my first thought was that I didn’t like it. If you know me, I’m a big orange juice lover although I don’t treat myself that often due to the high calorie intake but this story intrigued me.
